Gorgeous and delicious. This is a well guarded secret....until now. It comes from the Dessert Hall of Fame Recipe cookbook.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 8 - double graham crackers, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • CHOCOLATE FILLING:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 - eggs
  • 4 teaspoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • - cream cheese filling:
  • - 3 pkg. cream cheese, 8 oz. each
  • - 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • - 1/8 tsp. salt
  • - 3 eggs
  • - 1 tsp. vanilla
  • TOPPING:
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make eden shale's cheesecake

  • Step 1
    For crust, melt butter. Add crushed graham crackers and sugar. Press into bottom and sides of a 10 inch springform pan. Set aside
  • Step 2
    For chocolate filling, melt butter with chocolate. Remove from heat. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar and flour. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add milk and vanilla. Pour into prepared crust.
  • Step 3
    For cream cheese filling: cream cream cheese with granulated sugar and salt til fluffy. Add eggs separately. Add vanilla. Layer over chocolate mixture; don't stir or mix layers. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.Check every 5 minutes thereafter til center is soft set. Allow to rest for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    For topping, mix sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Spread over top of cake. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Freezes well. Simply divine! Serves 16 to 20 From Fillies Flavours, (Kentucky)
