Ingredients

1 - 18.25 ounce vanilla/white cake mix
1 - 3.5 ounce non-instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup buttermilk
10 drops - violet food coloring

How To Make easy purple velvet cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Prep. cake according to package directions, substituting half of the water called for with buttermilk. Stir in pudding mix and food coloring.
Step 3

Pour into cake pan/pans and bake according to the package's directions.
