Made w/ a cake mix, makes it so easy, yet it's so delectable!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick melted butter
  • 1 - 20 oz can pineapple slices, drained
  • 10 - maraschino cherries
  • 1 package moist yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3 large eggs

How To Make easy pineapple-upside down cake

  • Step 1
    Haet oven to 350. Spray 2- 8" round cake pans w/ cooking spray or spray a 9" x 13" pan w/ cooking spray. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over bottom of pans. Pour butter evenly over sugar.
  • Step 2
    Arrange pineapple slices evenly in single layer in each pan. Place a cherry in center of each pineapple.
  • Step 3
    In lg bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs until combined. Evenly divide batter among pans. Bake 30 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cakes cool. Loosen gently w/ a knife. Invert onto 2 plates.
