- Mix yellow cake mix as directed on pkg using juice from pineapple instead, add water to make up necessary amount called for if needed.
- Melt butter and brown sugar over low heat in a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
- Place pineapple rings into butter/brown sugar mixture in pan and put cherries in rings. Pour cake batter on top.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hr. Let stand for 5 mins and flip over onto large cake plate.
