this is the an easy cake ,when your in a hurry.i use it to make a pineapple udpside down cake,its not to sweet.or you can just frost it,it makes a small cake.this is perfect for a couple of single people.

1 1/3 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 - egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make easy one egg cake

Step 1

mix all this together,i use a whisk.and pour into a greased round pan,it only makes one layer,its a very basic cake.you can frost this,or i take a can of crushed pineapple,and drain it well,then put it first in the pan,and then some brown sugar and melted butter on that,and then pour the cake over it,and bake .when done ,invert on a plate.and serve with whip cream,this is perfect for 2 people,or a single person.
