easy jam cake

Well I never were very good of making a good Jam cake, but I never worried because my sister Karen always made the Jam cakes. Then when she passed with breast cancer and there were no other family members who wanted to try the Jam cake. My friend Susan gave this recipe so I am putting it in for those like me who loves Jam cakes and they can't manage to get the time to make it or like me can't make a good home made Jam cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 box small instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 cup cup water
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup blackberry jam, seedless
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans

How To Make easy jam cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 325 degrees mix ingredients and pour into greased and floured pan. Bake approximately 1 hour. Test cake with toothpicks to determine when cake is done. Frost when cool.
  • Step 2
    CARAMEL ICING 1 Box Light Brown sugar 1 Stick Butter or Maragine 1 cup Half and Half
  • Step 3
    Stir until boils. Do not stir after it begin to boil. Cook to soft ball stage. Beat until thickens then frost. If frosting becomes too hard, add hot water.
