This is a dense, chocolate cake that's so yummy, it never lasts for long in my house!

Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans, divided
1 cup shredded, sweetened coconut, divided
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make easy german chocolate cake

Step 1

Heat oven to 375. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, mix cake mix as directed, adding 1/2 cup pecans and 1/2 cup coconut.

Step 2

Mix well, Pour into pan. Bake about 30 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. In saucepan, combine condensed milk, butter and vanilla.
Step 3

Place over medium heat. Cook 5 mins, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in remaining pecans and coconut. Spread mix over cake. Cool. Cut into squares.
