Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped raisins
1 cup applesauce, sweetened or pureed baby food apricots

How To Make easy fruity cake

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in egg

Step 2

Combine next 7 ingredients in separate bowl.
Step 3

Heat applesauce to simmering. Add to butter mixture 2 parts alternately with dry mixture in 3 parts ,beginning and ending with dry mixture
Step 4

Spread in greased 8 X 8 inch pan.
Step 5

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
Step 6

It will be a darkish color.
