Easy to make when the chocolate cravings hit. This is also a hit at my office when we have a covered dish lunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can (16oz) chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • ICING INGREDIENTS
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

How To Make easy chocolate cake

  • Step 1
    Beat margarine and sugar together in mixing bowl. Beat in eggs until fluffy. Add syrup and blend.
  • Step 2
    Stir in flour and beat well.
  • Step 3
    Pour batter into buttered and floured 9x13 baking pan. Bake in 325 degree oven 25-30 minutes, or until cake test done. Cool and frost.
  • Step 4
    Icing 1 stick margarine 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1/2 cup cholocate chips Bring margarine, sugar and milk to boil. Add cholocate chips. Stir until well mixed. Pour over cake.
