I used to make this cake years ago and everyone loved it. Not only did they love it but I loved making it,it's a very easy recipe to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix . pudding type
  • ·
    oil and eggs as called for on cake mix package
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 can(s)
    (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • ·
    powdered sugar, sifted

How to Make Easy Cherry Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using oil or butter and eggs, and reducing the water to 1/2 cup.
  2. Spread batter into a greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  3. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the batter, then swirl into the batter just enough to give a marbled effect.
  4. Bake cake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes, until cake bounces back when lightly touched.
  5. Cool and sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
