  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/4 cup milk, lukewarm
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips, divided

How To Make easy brownie in a mug

  • Step 1
    In a 10 to 12-ounce microwave-safe coffee mug, add melted butter, flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, instant espresso powder, and salt.
  • Step 2
    Stir until somewhat combined.
  • Step 3
    Pour in lukewarm milk and add vanilla extract, and 1 Tbsp chocolate chips; stir until the ingredients are nicely blended.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle 1/2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips on top, if desired.
  • Step 5
    Transfer to the microwave and process on “high” for 1 minute. Continue cooking in 10-second intervals until the batter is cooked.
  • Step 6
    Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
