How To Make easter bunny cake
-
1Make cake according to the instructions.I myself add vanilla pudding mix or vanilla yogurt to make cake creamier..
-
2Cook according to directions..Use 2 round 9 inch cake pans..
-
3Put on cooling rack until cool..
-
4When cool, take one cake from pan and decorate with white icing saving 1/4 of icing for later..This will be the face of your Easter bunny..
-
5The other cake, remove from pan and with sharp knife, carefully cut cake, about 1/4 from each side..Cut left side of cake like this ) and right side like this( and you have your ears..Left over piece is the bow tie..
-
6Put bow tie under the decorated face, and the ears fix at angle on top of face..Decorate all with white icing..Get the 1/4 cup of saved icing you set aside..Add couple drops of red food coloring(more if needed) to make a pink color..Add to inside of ears..
-
7You then get the gum drops out..I start with bow tie..Can be all one color or a variety..I myself do the variety..
-
8Then get twizzlers, torn apart, and use for the whiskers..The nose, I use m&m's or skittles..Any hard, flat candy will work..Eyes,you can also use skittles,or sometimes I put lifesavers with skittles in middle of life saver..Lots of things work..
-
9After all is decorated the way you want, then sprinkle coconut throughout..Your bunny is complete..
-
10***If candy will not stick because of icing being dry,I keep bowl of warm water handy..Just use finger to rub some water on it,then it will stick..Enjoy!!
