This is a favorite in my family. My children loved this as they were growing up.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1 box cake mix, german chocolate
  • 1 stick margarine, room temperature
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil

How To Make earthquake cake

  • Step 1
    Grease a 9X13 cake pan. Cover the bottom with coconut then chopped nuts.
  • Step 2
    Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour over the nuts and coconut.
  • Step 3
    Combine Margarine, cream cheese, & powdered sugar. Mix until smooth, Spoon over cakemix. Do not stir
  • Step 4
    Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
