Dutch Oven Cake with Blue Berries

vanilla cake mix

blue berry pie filling


1You will need a 12" Cast Iron Dutch Oven. Grease the Dutch Oven with Lard then lightly coat it with flower.

Get 18 coals ready.
2Mix up your cake mix and stir in half of the can of blue berries. Pour into dutch oven then cover with lid.
3Place half of coals underneath oven and half on top of lid. Cook for 40 Minutes or till lightly golden brown.

Let cake cool then remove from ducth oven. Slice and top your cake with remaining blue berries.
