baking powder
1/4 tsp
salt
1/2 c
sugar
1 tsp
melted butter
2 large
tart apples, unpeeled & chopped
powdered sugar for coating
salad oil for deep fat frying

How to Make Dutch Apple Drop Cakes

Step-by-Step

  • 1Beat eggs until foamy, add milk. Stir in flour, bk powder, salt & sugar. Fold in butter & apples.
  • 2Heat 2 inches of oil to 370 degrees on a deep fat thermometer. Drop batter carefully by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until light brown.
  • 3Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
