Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter
  • 2 large tart apples, unpeeled & chopped
  • - powdered sugar for coating
  • - salad oil for deep fat frying

How To Make dutch apple drop cakes

  • Step 1
    Beat eggs until foamy, add milk. Stir in flour, bk powder, salt & sugar. Fold in butter & apples.
  • Step 2
    Heat 2 inches of oil to 370 degrees on a deep fat thermometer. Drop batter carefully by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until light brown.
  • Step 3
    Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
