Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 1/4 cups cake flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 cups thinly sliced apples (mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice with 1/4 cup water) drain before using
How To Make dutch apple cake

Step 1Cream butter, sugar and eggs together. Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with the milk to the first mixture. Add vanilla and beat thoroughly.

Step 2Pour into a greased pan, having batter 1 inch deep in 9-inch cake pan or a springform pan. Arrange thinly sliced apples in rows on top of batter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and dot with small bits of butter. Bake in a moderate oven (350º) for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
