How to Make DUTCH APPLE CAKE
1FIRST MIXTURE: Sift flour, baking powder & salt together; add sugar.
Cut in shortening thoroughly.
2Combine egg & milk; add to first mixture to make a soft dough.
3BOTTOM LAYER: Crust - - Melt butter; add brown sugar, cinnamon & heavy cream - mix well.
Turn into greased 8 inch square pan.
4Press apple slices into crust mixture & then spread dough (first mixture) over apples.
5Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream....
