Ingredients
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup kahlua
- 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
- FROSTING INGREDIENTS
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares
- 1 - semisweet chocolate square
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons kahlua
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
How To Make double fudge kahlua brownies

Step 1Line bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with cooking parchment.

Step 2Melt chocolate and butter with pepper over low heat, then beat eggs with sugar and vanilla until blended.

Step 3Stir in cooled chocolate mixture, then kahlua.

Step 4Resift flour, salt and baking powder into mixture and stir until blended and add nuts.

Step 5Turn into pan and bake in 350 degree oven just until pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 25 minutes (be careful not to overbake).

Step 6For Quick Fudge Frosting: Melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate and 1 square semi-sweet chocolate with 2 tablespoons butter over low heat.

Step 7Heat 3 tablespoons kahlua and 2 tablespoons heavy cream together.

Step 8Combine chocolate and kahlua mixtures with 2 cups powdered sugar (free from lumps).

Step 9Beat until well blended and thick and if necessary, beat in a little extra powdered sugar for good spreading consistency.

Step 10Frost brownies immediately as mixture stiffens upon setting.

Step 11Sprinke with additional nuts, if desired and cut into squares or bars.
