Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 - unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
- 4 - eggs
- 2.5 cups cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips coated in 2 tablespoons flour
How To Make double chocolate pound cake

Step 1Cream butter with sugars until smooth and well blended.

Step 2Add chocolate and eggs, one at a time. Beat until fluffy.

Step 3Mix flour and baking soda and add to creamed mixture.

Step 4Blend in buttermilk and vanilla, stir until smooth, then add chocolate chips.

Step 5Turn batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube baking pan.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.

Step 7Let cake cool in pan for a couple of minutes and then turn cake out of pan onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Step 8Garnish with fresh sliced strawberries or other berries.

Step 9Serve with a dollop of whipping cream.
