double chocolate coca-cola cake
I had a neighbor that baked this cake and I loved it. I hadn't had it for years and found it at the Cracker Barrel. I love the moistness of the cake and the creamy luscious frosting.

Ingredients
- 1 cup coke (regular not diet)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 stick butter
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- FROSTING
- 1 stick butter
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons cream or milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Step 1Cake In pan, mix coke, oil, butter, and cocoa and bring to a boil. In separate bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Pour boiling coke mix over flour mix and beat well. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla and beat well. Pour into greased and floured 9X13 pan. Bake @ 350 for 35 - 40 minutes or until it bounces back when you tap it with a finger. Remove and let cool 10 minutes before 10 frosting.

Step 2Frosting In saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and milk (or cream). Heat until butter melts. Beat in remaining ingredients and spread on warm cake.
