5 oz
semisweet chocolate, melted
1/2 c
butter, melted
1 c
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
2 oz
white chocolate, cut in 1/2 pieces
1/2 c
chopped pecans


1 oz
white chocolate, melted
1 oz
semisweet chocolate, melted

How to Make Double Chocolate Brownies


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Butter an 8 or 9 inch square baking pan.
  • 3Line pan with with parchment paper or waxed paper.
  • 4Combine melted chocolate with melted butter.
  • 5With a whisk, beat eggs with sugar and vanilla. Beat in chocolate mixture.
  • 6Stir flour with baking powder and salt.
  • 7Stir flour mixture into chocolate mixture and stir in white chocolate and pecans.
  • 8Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes. (Brownies may appear to be underbaked but will set when chilled).
  • 9Cool, and do not worry if sides are slightly higher than middle.
  • 10Just press sides down as brownies cool and drizzle melted white and dark chocolate in a zigzag pattern on top uncut brownies.
  • 11Allow to rest at room temperature 1/2 hour and cut into squares.
  • 12Chill.
