- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
How To Make dense almond pound cake

Step 1Place above in large mixing bowl, in order given, and beat until well mixed. Grease and flour (or sugar) a tube pan.

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. When cooled you can sprinkle with confectioner sugar, or you can frost it with a frosting of your choice.
