My original Jewish apple cake recipe. My family loves it! So delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4-6 sliced, peeled apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-2/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make delicious jewish apple cake

  • Step 1
    In medium bowl, combine apple slices, cinnamon and 5 tbsp. sugar. Set aside. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; beat until batter is smooth. Batter will be thick.
  • Step 2
    Pour a small amount of batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Place a layer of apple slices on top of batter. Continue layering in this fashion, ending with a layer of batter.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours. Cool in pan 30 minutes on wire rack. Turn cake out on rack to cool thoroughly.
