decadent caramel cheesecake

I created this recipe for Thanksgiving lunch at our church and it was a hit!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST
  • 2 1/4 cups ground graham crackers (about 1 1/2 sleeve)
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • FOR THE FILLING
  • 3 boxes cream cheese
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE
  • 1 jar caramel sauce (the really good kind)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream, cold

How To Make decadent caramel cheesecake

  • Step 1
    FOR THE CRUST: Blend crushed crackers and melted butter together and press into a springform pan.
  • Step 2
    FOR THE FILLING: Mix all ingredients together and beat until smooth. Pour filling over crust and bake in a 300 degree oven for 55 minutes or until set. Cool on a wire rack for about 45 minutes or until cool. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours uncovered. Pour on caramel sauce and serve. Cover and refrigerate uneaten protion.
  • Step 3
    FOR THE CARAMEL: Stir until well combined and pour over cooled cheesecake. Refrigerate.
