When I saw this cute little recipe on Group Recipes, I knew I had to share it. This is a recipe that the kids would get a kick out of too. This recipe is for one serving. I haven't tried this yet but I definitely will in the near future. The photo is also from Group Recipes.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp
    alll purpose flour
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    hershey's cocoa powder
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    chocolate chips (optional)
  • small
    splash of vanilla extract

How to Make Death By Chocolate Coffee Mug Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Add dry ingredients to regular size coffee mug and mix well with a fork. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and continue to mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.

    Put mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake might rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. Pour chocolate syrup over warm cake and top with whipped topping.
