I made this recipe for the first time this Easter and it was a huge hit! Beware though, I had pudding running down the sides of my trifle bowl when I was preparing it.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    chocolate cake mix
  • 3 small
    packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 8 oz
    tub cool whip
  • 1 pkg
    heath bits, divided into 4 equal portions

How to Make Death By Chocolate

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare cake according to directions for 9X13 cake. Cool and cut into 1 1/2" cubes.
  2. Prepare pudding mixes according to package directions one at a time.
  3. In a trifle bowl, alternate layers of cake cubes, pudding and Heath bits 3 times. Top with cool whip and Heath bits.
