2/3 cup shortening
1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 - eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
FROSTING
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar

How To Make day care cake

Step 1

Blend shortening, sugar until light, adding eggs one at a time, then slowly add buttermilk and vanilla, and then dry ingredients.

Step 2

PAM or grease and flour a 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350, 25 - 30 minutes.
Step 3

Frosting: Blend in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Cook 1 minute. Pour over warm cake!
