Ingredients
- 1 box Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 cup water
- 3 - eggs
- 1 package oreo cookies (13.29 oz)
- 1/2 cup real butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla
- 1 bag powdered sugar (32 oz)
- heavy cream or milk, as needed
- sprinkles (optional)
How To Make dark chocolate oreo fudge cake

Step 1Mix cake mix, oil, water, and eggs according to package directions.

Step 2Roughly chop 2 - 2 1/2 rows of Oreos and fold into cake batter.

Step 3Bake in a sprayed 9x13 pan, 26 - 31 minutes. Let cake cool completely before frosting.

Step 4In a stand mixer, beat softened butter and cream cheese together approximately 3 - 4 minutes. Add vanilla and mix until incorporated.

Step 5Slowly mix powdered sugar into sugar/butter mixture. Once all powdered sugar is incorporated, mix at higher speed another 2 minutes. Add heavy cream or milk as needed to reach frosting consistency desired.

Step 6Finely chop 4 - 5 Oreos and gently fold into cream cheese frosting. Be gentle! Otherwise you’ll end up with gray-ish black icing!

Step 7Spread over cake and roughly chop another 1-2 Oreos for decorating the top. You can also add a few sprinkles, if desired.
