Super chocolaty, moist, and easy to make in a slow cooker? That's this chocolate cake recipe. It's perfect for those days when your oven is preparing other dishes, but you need a dessert. Warm and gooey, it's amazing served with ice cream and chocolate syrup for a top-notch dessert. We were thrilled with both the unique technique of preparing this in the Crock Pot and the finished product.

Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 small instant chocolate pudding box (3.4 oz)
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- chocolate syrup, for serving
- vanilla ice cream, for serving

We made this in an 8-quart slow cooker.

Step 1Mix the cake mix, eggs, oil, water, sour cream, and chocolate pudding mix. (I use my mixer set to low.)

Step 2Add chocolate chips and mix in by hand.

Step 3Spray a large Crock Pot with non-stick spray. If your pot runs a little hot, line it with heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Step 4Spread the cake batter in the slow cooker.

Step 5Cook on low for 4 - 5 hours. Do not open the lid.

Step 6Serve with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
