Ingredients
- FOR THE BROWNIES
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- FOR THE FROSTING
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons green creme de menthe
- 1 tablespoon milk
- FOR THE CHOCOLATE TOPPINGS
- 1 ounce semi sweet baking chocolate
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup andes mint chocolate candies, chopped (optional)
How To Make creme de menthe brownies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2Grease and flour an 8x8 square pan; set aside.

Step 3In a medium heavy saucepan, stir 1/2 cup butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat just until melted. Cool for 5 minutes. Stir in sugar, eggs, and mint extract. Stir just until combined.

Step 4Stir in flour and spread batter into greased pan.

Step 5Bake for 20 minutes and cool completely in a pan.

Step 6For frosting, beat together 1/4 cup butter until fluffy, add in powdered sugar and continue to beat until incorporated, beat in creme de menthe, and milk.

Step 7Spread frosting over cooled brownies. Refrigerate until frosting is chilled and firm.

Step 8In the microwave or a small sauce pan over low heat, melt semi sweet chocolate and milk; stirring often. Drizzle chocolate over chilled brownies. Cool at room temp.

Step 9Sprinkle chopped Andes mint chocolate candies over the top.
