OK--I love using liquers in cakes. This one intrigued me--and it is very good (I got it from a credit union employee when I worked in Louisiana). I am tempted to try a chocolate glaze the next time I make it, since chocolate and banana seem to go so well together.

Ingredients

  • 1 package golden butter cake mix
  • 1 package instant banana pudding (4 serving size)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup creme de banana
  • 1/2 cup water
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup creme de banana
  • 1/4 cup water

How To Make creme de banana cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 10 cup bundt pan with PAM.
  • Step 2
    Mix first six ingredients together and pour into prepared pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 1 hour or until tester comes out clean.
  • Step 4
    After cake has cooled, make glaze by combining sugar, butter, creme de banana and water in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat, and continue to cook for 3 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Pour glaze over cooled cake.
