Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, softened (3 sticks)
  • 8 ounces package of cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make cream cheese pound cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 325 degrees
  • Step 2
    Grease and flour 10 inch tube or 12 cup Bundt pan
  • Step 3
    Beat butter and cream cheese together in a large bowl until well blended
  • Step 4
    Add eggs - one (1) at a time beating well after each addition
  • Step 5
    Blend in vanilla
  • Step 6
    Sift flour and salt together and blend into creamed mixture
  • Step 7
    Spoon into prepared pan
  • Step 8
    Bake 1 hour and 15-30 minutes until toothpick inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean
  • Step 9
    Cool in pan 5 minutes; then turn onto wire rack and cool completely
