Ingredients

1 1/2 c
butter or margarine, softened (3 sticks)
8 oz
package of cream cheese, softened
3 c
sugar
6
eggs
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla
3 c
sifted all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt

How to Make Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven 325 degrees
  • 2Grease and flour 10 inch tube or 12 cup Bundt pan
  • 3Beat butter and cream cheese together in a large bowl until well blended
  • 4Add eggs - one (1) at a time beating well after each addition
  • 5Blend in vanilla
  • 6Sift flour and salt together and blend into creamed mixture
  • 7Spoon into prepared pan
  • 8Bake 1 hour and 15-30 minutes until toothpick inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean
  • 9Cool in pan 5 minutes; then turn onto wire rack and cool completely
