This is my favorite dessert that my mom makes for Christmas every year

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 tsp of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make cranberry-nut coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Powdered Sugar Glaze: Combine all ingrediants. Stir well. Set Aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine brown sugar, walnuts & cinnamon; Mix well, and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Combine biscuit mix, sugar, egg, and water; Beat 30 sec. at med. speed. Pour batter into a greased 9" square pan. Sprinkle batter with walnut mixture, and spoon cranberry sauce evenly over top.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 min. or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Drizzle glaze over warm cake.
