This was in my mom's recipe box from her wedding shower.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond flavoring
  • 1 cup whole cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

How To Make cranberry bundt cake

  • Step 1
    Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with buttermilk. Beat well. Add rest of ingredients. Add cranberries and let chop a little with beaters. Spoon into well greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes and until cake tests done in center. Let stand in pan for 15 minutes. Glaze with a thin powdered sugar frosting flavored with orange or almond or just plain vanilla. Or combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup orange juice, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond flavoring. Bring to boil and pour over cake while warm. Let set a while before serving.
