cranberry bars & cream cheese frosting
I just love these bars...the tartness of the cranberries go well with the cream cheese frosting. This would be a nice addition to your Holiday meals. Enjoy!! My photos

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups whole fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- FROSTING
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make cranberry bars & cream cheese frosting

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9 baking pan.

Step 2In bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt, baking powder, cranberries and nuts.

Step 3Spread batter into pan. Batter will be thick ( If too thick, add about 1/3 cup buttermilk or milk to loosen some.)

Step 4Bake in preheated oven 35 to 40 minutes. Cool completely.

Step 5Frosting: In bowl, beat together all ingredients.

Step 6Spread on cooled bars and cut into small squares...enjoy!
