Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup crisco shortening
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 - eggs, beaten
How To Make cowboy coffee cake

Step 1Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening until crumbly. Should be fine crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup.

Step 2To remaining crumbs, add baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; mix well.

Step 3Add milk and eggs; mix well.

Step 4Pour into 2 greased and floured pans; top with reserved crumbs.

Step 5Bake at 375 for 20 - 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Step 6Let cool for half an hour before serving
