Found on cooking page something like I ate as a teenager.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups bisquick baking mix
  • 3/4 cup sugar or stevia
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • FROSTING
  • 3/4 cup corn flakes
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar or splenda brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 5 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons milk

How To Make corn flake coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Topping: In small bowl place all ingredients mix until combined. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Cake; Preheat oven to 350F. butter and flour a round cake pan. Place all ingredient (except topping) into medium mixing bowl and mix low speed, scraping sides constantly for 30 seconds.
  • Step 3
    Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes. Pour batter into pan and bake into and bake 30-35 minutes or until tooth pick come out clean. Turn off over and turn on the broiler.
  • Step 4
    Let cool for 20 minutes (keep on the pan) then spread topping boiler until golden brown(around 3 minutes)
