This is a recipe that one of my church members brought to the coffee bar last weekend. It makes a lot and was so delicious. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 - white cake mix
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding (3 oz.)
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 4 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup brown sugar (mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans together) this is for the topping
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Spray a 11 x 17" jelly roll pan with PAM. Mix the cake mixture for 6 - 8 minutes. Layer 1/2 of the batter then half of the brown sugar mixture; then batter and top with remainder of the brown sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Glaze (optional); 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 9 tsp. milk and 1/2 tsp. each vanilla and butter flavoring. Drizzle over warm cake. This is good without the glaze so it is your preference on whether to glaze it or not. This makes approximately 60 bars.
