My Mom use to make this cake for us when we were young. It was quick and easy and it was delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant lemon pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, if desired

How To Make coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Combine cake and pudding mixes, water and oil in mixing bowl.
  • Step 3
    Stir until blended, add eggs one at a time and beating well after each addition.
  • Step 4
    Add vanilla extract and butter flavoring and beat well.
  • Step 5
    Combine sugar and pecans, if desired or just the sugar mixture.
  • Step 6
    sprinkle 1/4 cup of the sugar mixture in the bottom of a lightly greased Bunt pan or 13 x 9 pan.
  • Step 7
    Add some of the batter and repeat layers ending with batter.
  • Step 8
    Bake 50 minutes to an hour or until done.
  • Step 9
    Cool 15 minutes and remove to dish to continue cooling.
