Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
How To Make coconut pound cake

Step 1Cream butter sugar crisco and cocnut extract. Add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy.Mix flour salt and baking powder well. Alternate flour and milk with the creamed mixture. Fold in coconut. Put cake in cold oven @350 and bake for 1hr. and 15 minutes. (I use a bundt pan but you can also use a loaf pan)

Step 2Combine 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon coconut extract. Bring to boil and boil for 1 minute. Pour over cake while still warm
