Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 - egg yolks beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make coconut pecan frosting

  • Step 1
    In medium sized sauce pan combine evaporated milk, sugar,egg yolks and butter.Cook over medium heat until thickened (about 12 minutes)stirring occasionally.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat and add coconut, vanilla extract and chopped pecans.Stir then allow to cool to spreading consistency,stirring occasionally.
