How To Make coconut mist cake
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour whatever pan you decided to use.
-
Step 2Cream butter, sugar, and egg yolks. Beat well, milk, flour, salt, baking powder, and coconut. Mix into butter mixture. Fold in stffly beaten egg whites gently.
-
Step 3Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
-
Step 4Allow cake to cool completely. I ice this with a mixture of 1/3 sour cream, 1/3 confectioners' sugar, and a small tub of cool whip whipped topping, mix together. Then I hand apply shredded sweetened coconut to sides and top. I sometimes make this cake into a layer cake. When I do I use a can of prepared fruit pie filling for a filling between the layers - my favorite is lemon pie filling. ENJOY!!
