A nice tropical spin on the typical flan. I dont recall who gave me this recipe but its very good!

Ingredients

14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 1/3 c
milk, whole
2
large eggs
2
large egg yolks
1/2 tsp
vanilla or coconut extract
3/4 c
coconut, sweetened

How to Make Coconut Flan

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange 6 3/4 cup custard cups in a 13x9x2 pan. Whisk first 5 ingredients in medium bowl to blend. Mix in coconut. Divide mixture among cups. Pour enough hot water into pans to come halfway up the sides of the cups.
  • 2Bake flans until just set in center, about 30 minutes. Remove flan from pan and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. Can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated, Cover and keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Carefully invert flan before serving.
