This recipe was in a Taste Of Home Cookbook ,that a friend sent me. The lady who sent it in to Taste of Home is listed as Ellen Champagne of New Orleans ,La. I have had this cake many times at church dinners when I lived in New Orleans....This is one of those cakes that travel so well ,and every one loves...For years this cake was made from scratch, now it has been updated to make it simple and easy. But the taste is still just as wonderful..
