This recipe came from our local paper in 1969. It is the first cake my Mom and I tried together, after that we were always cooking something. I still have the orginal copy from the paper

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 box vanilla instant pudding mix 3 oz.
- 3/4 cup cooking oil
- 4 - eggs
- - 10 oz. bottle of clear carbonated beverage (seven up, sprite etc.)
- ICING
- 1 can large of crushed pineapple
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 - stick, margarine
- 1 - heaping tablespoon flour
- 1 cup coconut
How To Make clear carbonated beverage cake

Step 1For the cake: mix all the first 5 ingredients well and bake at 325 for 25 to 40 minutes in a 9x13 pan. Leave the cake in the pan after cooking.

Step 2For the icing, mix all ingredients except coconut and cook until thick. Then add the coconut. Cool and spread on cake.
