Ingredients
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 125 grams butter, cold
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
How To Make cinnamon slice

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 180C Grease & line a slice tin. Put butter ,flour & sugar into bowl & rub in until fine crumbs. Press half mixture into prepared tin & flatten. Set aside

Step 2Add baking soda to cold milk & mix well Add cinnamon & mixed spice to remaining crumb mixture & mix well Pour in cold milk & combine. Mixture will be quite thin.

Step 3Spread over mixture in slice tin & level. Bake approximately 35 mins until golden brown. Ice with lemon icing & sprinkle with cinnamon when cool. Cut into squares.
