Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 2 1/2 cups honey bunches of oats cereal
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 - egg, beaten with 1 tsp water
- 1/2 cup buttermilk* (may use substitute)
- BUTTERMILK SUBSITITUTE:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice or vinegar
- 1/2 cup milk
How To Make cinnamon & raisin scones

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 F & grease a baking sheet.

Step 2Combine, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl.

Step 3Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Add cereal and mix well.

Step 4Combine two eggs, buttermilk and raisins in separate bowl. Add to cereal mixture and stir until dough clings together.

Step 5Knead on a floured surface 5 to 6 strokes.

Step 6Divide dough in half. Roll or pat each half into a 6 inch circle that is 3/4 inch thick. Cut each circle into wedges and place on baking sheet. Brush with egg and water mixture.

Step 7Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
