This is my mother-in-law's recipe. I usually add more cinnamon, but I love cinnamon.

Ingredients
- IN A SMALL SAUCEPAN, BRING THE FOLLOWING TO A BOIL AND THEN REMOVE FROM HEAT:
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- COMBINE THE FOLLOWING IN A MIXING BOWL:
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
How To Make cinnamon pudding cake

Step 1Grease and flour a 13"x9" cake pan and spread batter in the pan. The batter will be thick. Pat down with hands if necessary.

Step 2Pour brown sugar liquid over the cake batter.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees until a knife comes out clean. About 50 minutes.

Step 4Serve warm or cooled with whipped topping or ice cream.
