Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 - sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 - eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make cinnamon coffee cake (sour cream)

Step 1In a large bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar until fluffy.

Step 2Add vanilla.

Step 3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 4Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Step 5Add alternately with sour cream, beating enough after each addition to keep batter smooth.

Step 6Spoon 1/3 of the batter into a greased 10\" tube pan.

Step 7Combine remaining sugar, cinnamon and nuts.

Step 8Sprinkle over batter.

Step 9Repeat layers two more times.

Step 10Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes or until cake tests done.

Step 11Cool for 10 minutes, remove cake to wire rack to cool completely.
