2 tsp
3 c
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
16 oz
sour cream
2 Tbsp
1/2 c
chopped walnuts

How to Make Cinnamon Coffee Cake (Sour Cream)


  • 1In a large bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar until fluffy.
  • 2Add vanilla.
  • 3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 4Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • 5Add alternately with sour cream, beating enough after each addition to keep batter smooth.
  • 6Spoon 1/3 of the batter into a greased 10" tube pan.
  • 7Combine remaining sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
  • 8Sprinkle over batter.
  • 9Repeat layers two more times.
  • 10Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes or until cake tests done.
  • 11Cool for 10 minutes, remove cake to wire rack to cool completely.
