I found this in an old cookbook and couldn't resist the urge to make it. I love, love, love peanut butter, especially the chunky kind. And it couldn't be easier to make! Photo by: Diana Rattray, About.com Guide

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • - hot fudge sauce
  • - vanilla ice cream

How To Make chunky peanut butter pudding cake

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup of the brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, peanut butter, cooking oil, and vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Spread in a greased 8x8x2" baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar. Carefully pour the hot water over the surface.
  • Step 3
    Bake in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Drizzle hot fudge sauce over top and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
